This feature-rich 2.5D animation application allows users to create a wide range of content, from Ken-Burns-style photo montages to animated GIF memes, instructional videos, and stereoscopic film titles. The process starts by loading a photo, movie background, or creating a colored background gradient. Users can enhance the background with animated color correction, zoom, pan, or blur effects anytime. Adding layers with personal photos or preloaded 'sprite' images is the next step. These layers can then be animated using a straightforward keyframe animation system where users simply set the time and move the layer to animate size, rotation, transparency, and other properties. Being a 2.5D animation system, Motion Graphix allows adjustments to the Z-position of a layer, creating a depth effect as it moves relative to other layers.

Motion Graphix supports an unlimited number of layers that can be static images or animated GIFs. Users have the flexibility to craft text elements with custom outlines and shadows, as well as design basic shapes with Bezier curves and color gradient fills. The application features a built-in sprite cutter for easily extracting elements from photos by tracing Bezier curves. These elements are saved in a library for reuse in future projects, including items captured using a greenscreen.

Hand-drawn elements can also be animated in Motion Graphix. With the ability to draw lines or letters that animate as the video plays, users can emphasize parts or places in the background image. Additionally, particle-system layers like snow, fireworks, bubbles, and more can be incorporated for added visual effects.

The application offers advanced keyframe animation controls for precise motion adjustments alongside simple time and position setting options. Users can apply built-in motions such as spiral, jitter, and bounce or utilize the 'Digital Tracking' feature to match graphics to a moving background by following and applying motion to a layer manually.

Upon completion of a project, users can easily share their creations via various platforms like Photos, Mail, Messages, YouTube, Dropbox, and more. For those working with depth settings on layers, Motion Graphix supports exporting stereoscopic renders in standard split-screen formats like red-blue anaglyph 3D or VR formats compatible with viewers such as Google Cardboard.
